Ashcan Comics – Preview and Promotional Editions (Title Select)

What Is an Ashcan Edition?

An ashcan is a special preview or promotional comic released to introduce an upcoming series, story, or character. It may contain sample pages, early story content, concept artwork, interviews, or other material not presented like a standard comic issue.

Ashcans are often thinner, shorter, or produced in smaller quantities than regular comics, making some editions desirable to collectors. This is an ashcan edition—not the standard full-length issue. Size, page count, and content vary by title.
