We offer two straightforward ways to submit. Tell us what you have and what result you are looking for, and we will help determine the right route.

New Releases

9.8 Prescreen Submissions

Add grading to an eligible preorder, subscription book, or new release purchased through 412 Comics.

  • We inspect the book when it arrives at our shop.
  • CGC encapsulates it only if it meets the selected prescreen grade.
  • Pass-and-fail handling is confirmed with you before submission.
  • Return shipping to you is charged separately.
Your Collection

Regular CGC Submissions

Send books from your personal collection to our Pennsylvania location for inspection and submission.

  • We provide a preliminary condition assessment.
  • Cleaning and pressing may be recommended when appropriate.
  • CGC assigns the final grade and encapsulates the comic.
  • Return shipping to you is billed separately.

Submission timing

We generally ship received comics to CGC within 30 days. Preorders take longer because the book must first be released and delivered to us.

CGC turnaround

Grading timelines vary and can take several months. Do not submit a comic that you need returned by a specific date.

Cancellation and return

Once a submission leaves our facility, it cannot be canceled or refunded. Final return shipping from 412 Comics to you is charged separately.

Any condition assessment provided by 412 Comics is an estimate only. CGC is an independent grading company and has sole authority over the final grade, restoration determination, label, and encapsulation result.
